About Us

We are Advocating for our families.

Sutton SEPAC (Special Education Parent Advisory Council) is focused on connecting parents, students, families with the resources and support they need to ensure meaningful, educational progress.

This may mean connecting individuals with school educators, providing informational sessions, creating community support, speaking t administrators and School Committee

and organizing resources for easy informational access.

Who We Are

SEPAC is a  volunteer-group mandated by Massachusetts law.

Every public school district in Massachusetts is required to establish a SEPAC.

Massachusetts state law assigns both an advisory and participatory function to SEPACs.

MA State Law & Regulations regarding the Role of the SEPAC

We provide feedback to the School Committee and school district on special education programs and policies, and participate in their planning and development.

Previous to 2021-2022, SSEPAC has not had a meaningful role in this way.

We are trying to change that for the betterment of our school community.

We are currently focused on increasing our engagement and reach in 2021 to improve communication between families and the school district, to offer resources that benefit SEPAC families and the greater school community, and to increase informational access to resources.
